    Arbor Day Celebration

RCCP joined members of the Bowie, Greenbelt, Baltimore, and PG County clubs for an Arbor Day celebration at Schrom's Hill Park in Greenbelt. We planted 25 trees. Thank you to Area Governor Billy Louis for organizing this event.

  • College Park Aviation Museum

    College Park Aviation Museum

We donate annually to support the museum’s educational programs for Prince George’s County youth. Our signature program is the annual Winter Fly In, in which Santa Claus lands at the airport. Families view the landing from inside the airport and participate in holiday crafts. Children are invited to have their pictures taken with Santa and leave with goody bags.

  • The Dictionary Project

Last year, RCCP provided age-appropriate personal dictionaries to third-grade children in two schools in Prince George's County. The goal of the Dictionary Project, which is a national program, is to help children become avid readers, excellent writers, and enthusiastic learners.

  • Operation Warm

Operation Warm provides hope by connecting underserved families to community resources. Last year, the Rotary Club of College Park partnered with Joe's Movement Emporium to donate 200 high-quality winter coats to families along the Route 1 corridor.

  • Toiletry Kit

Prince George's Day Center for Homeless

This winter we partnered with other clubs in District 7620 to assemble 2,000 toiletry kits to donate to the homeless. Our clubs’ contribution was given to the Prince George’s Day Center for the Homeless.

  • Flag Poles for New College Park City Hall

In 2022, the City of College Park dedicated its new City Hall. To commemorate this event, RCCP donated three new flag poles to the City. Our gift is marked by a plaque in the garden at the base of the poles.

  • College Park Volunteer Fire Department Golf Tournament

The College Park Volunteer Fire Department includes up to 24 full-time student live-ins, local members, and supplemental career staff, who respond to 4,500 incidents per year in the City and surrounding communities. The Rotary Club of College Park supports the Fire Department's fundraising by being a sponsor of its annual golf tournament.

  • World Clean-up Day

World Clean-up Day unites volunteers, governments, and organizations in 191 countries to tackle global waste and build a more sustainable world. The Rotary Club of College Park participates by cleaning up trash in Buddy Attick Park, Greenbelt MD. This event was held in conjunction with the City of Greenbelt.
